A memorial service to celebrate the life of John Hutcheson will be held at on Saturday August 27th at 1pm in the University of North Florida Fine Arts Center Recital Hall to be followed by a reception in the Printmaking Studio.
A master of all the traditional hand-printing techniques, John had an illustrious career as a printmaker and dedicated much of his life to sharing his immeasurable knowledge and skill through teaching and collaborating in schools and studios across the United States and internationally, as well as at the Tyler workshops. John taught printmaking at the University of North Florida from 2008, where he was loved and admired by his colleagues and students.
The John Hutcheson Memorial Scholarship has been established by UNF to honour the memory of this masterful printer and passionate educator in perpetuity.
